Visual / CWI Weld Inspection
NDT’s weld inspection services ensure your welds meet required quality standards, leading to reduced failure rates and extending the potential operating life of components. Our welding specialists hold recognized qualifications, such as the American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and the American Society of Nondestructive Testing, Level II’s and NAS 410 Level III.
We combine a team of trained and certified inspectors to provide a complete range of third-party, independent weld procedure specification review and procedure qualification review services for, FAA, aerospace, department of defense, transportation, energy and construction sectors.
Expertise in weld inspecting
Our experts have in-depth knowledge and experience of fabrication processes in all aspects of welding requirements to support your welding projects and staff.
Our approach to weld inspection and monitoring
It is vital to detect any problems with welds before they escalate or soon after they occur so they can be corrected as quickly as possible. NDT’s weld inspectors evaluate the quality of welds at every step of the fabrication process before, during, and after welding.
Following the authorization of the Preliminary or Proposed Weld Procedure Specification (pWPS) and the sourcing of the base material(s) and consumables, our inspectors use calibrated tools to confirm the proper joint configuration, electrical parameters, ambient and base material temperatures and record all essential welding variables of the approved welding procedure.
